VAM® BOLTTM is a Premium Flush Casing connection suitable for tight clearance applications, especially big bore subsea well heads. It is easy to run and provides superior sealabilities and mechanical integrity in extreme loads.
APPLICABLE RANGE
- Available in sizes from 11 ¾” to 18”
- Standard, alternative and special drifts
- Validated for Carbon and Sour Service grades, as well as High Collapse material
- Yield strengths from 80 ksi to 125 ksi
- Other sizes and grades available upon request.
APPLICATIONS
- Big bore subsea well heads which require tight clearance surface casing in 18″ and 16″ diameter
- Complex designs, driven by clearance and high performance e.g. HP/HT, deep offshore wells, where many casing
- strings might be required
- Contingency liner application
- Thicker intermediate casing (e.g. 14” instead of 13 3/8”).

- Sealability validated with combined load cycles based on last ISO 13679 standard (for example, 11 7/8” 71.8# size is qualified according to ISO 13679 FDIS 2011 CAL I-E)
- Maximum compression resistance (100% of the connection yield strength)
- Excellent mechanical integrity due to rugged and dovetail thread
- Easy running through fast make-up with double start thread, improved stabbing, and the square shoulder that provides high break-out resistance and reliable make-up.
